  1. You definitely need a lawyer because it's clear that you have no concept of proper legal procedures. Why don't you just plead guilty and move on. At this point you're becoming a burden on the legal system.

  2. At 21:21, you are correct that Charles needs a lawyer and anyone else facing a criminal charge because the layperson does not know the procedures that are involved, they do not know the proper format to present a legal argument, which is much different from the casual day-to-day argument that you have over a glass of beer. The layperson does not know the rules of evidence and all of the other intricacies of the court so it can be quite an overwhelming experience to self-represent.

Suggesting that one should plead guilty because you perceive them as a burden on the legal system suggest to me that you have do not comprehend the very foundation of criminal law, which the onus is on the crown to prove that the defendant is quilt. Whether if one is found guilty or not is dependent on the facts, and the points of law, and how the judge and Jury interprets the facts.

In Charles case, no one knows what the facts are or what his defense is. Because of lack of information, no one can judge whether Charles is guilty of an offense or not that is for the courts to decide. No one should ever enter a plea until they first have disclosure from the crown, and based on what is contained in that disclosure should determine what the plea should be. One is never a burden on the legal system when they are exerting their right to a fair trial.

Had legal aid provided a lawyer in the first place this matter would have been quickly resolved at the beginning with minimal cost to the “taxpayer”. Legal aid choose not to, so they are the ones who are responsible for the increased cost of this case and the duration of this case.

  3. @22.32 You are so right in what you have said. Revenge by the FPFarce is what this case is all about. They have never forgiven Charles for the video of the FP Farce beating up a soldier in 2012. It is plain as day.
